Information Sent Directly
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies those results. Glendale Residents Directory does not keep a copy of the search. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to answer it.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time stamps. Those entries are reviewed in aggregate for site health and broad page-use patterns. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may use cookies or similar tools when enabled by the relevant provider.
Why Those Details Are Used
Technical data helps operate the pages, resolve faults, measure traffic, and improve the reference. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual reader profiles are not built from these limited records.
External Portals and Links
Pages point to county and state record portals, library collections, archives, and sponsored search tools. The destination’s policy governs anything submitted there, not this policy. Sponsored results are supplied by a separate company and may collect or use information under its own terms.
Possible Recipients
Hosting and support providers may process ordinary server logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the technical details described above where those services operate. Information may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it; otherwise it is not shared for a visitor list.
Security and Retention
The pages use an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for the operational needs described above. There are no reader accounts, passwords, or personal profiles stored here for an attacker to access.
Readers Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor’s information was sent to the contact mailbox, ask us to remove it.
Your California Privacy Choices
California’s Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, appears at Civil Code §1798.100 et seq. Covered people may have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing, subject to exceptions. Because this reference keeps little data, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and available technical logs, then removing what can be found. Use the Contact page for that request.
Public records held by Glendale, Los Angeles County, or California agencies are outside this reference’s control. Those records are governed by the California Public Records Act, Government Code §§7920.000 et seq., along with record-specific confidentiality laws. A deletion request for a county deed, voter record, court file, or vital certificate must go to its custodian.
